mission statements can be so idealistic and overblown. sure, it’s great to shoot for the stars, but doesn’t it seem better to set goals that are more realistic? there are a hundred million things to do ~ probably a conservative estimate at that ~ exactly how does one boil it all down into a few sentences and still convey the full intent?
over the years, one of the most important things i've learned is that what we experience as reality is largely self-created. therefore, it was easy to latch on to the above quote when running across it at some now-forgotten moment. those of you who’ve known me for a long time have probably seen it nearly as many times as i’ve emailed you. to this day, it still wraps things up for me pretty succinctly.
